Member of the Queen of Hearts Fundraising Committee

Through this fundraising group, I was involved with several fundraising initiatives such as Women Fully Clothed, Press Pause at Lot 66, and the inaugaral Power of the Purse in support of the Thunder Bay Boys & Girls Club. . Over the past ten years, I have been a part of the following committees: Bachelor Auction for Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation (2004 & 2005), Thunder Bay Literacy Young Writer's Gala, the Salvation Army Red Shield Fundraising Dinner, and Santa Shuffle.  I have met wonderful people who have helped me in many areas of my life. I am truly happy when I am giving back through fundraising initatives.

Who Gives a Frock

In 2012, I decided it was time to create my own fundraising event in order to raise money for Children's Mental Health Awareness. Because of my experience in previous events, I was able to pull together a comprehensive group of ladies from a variety of backgrounds. This event was hosted for two years for the Children's Centre. In 2016, through my involvement with the George Jeffrey Children's Foundation, the committee switched its focus and fundraised for their cause.  Partnering with Auto Home, the event raised $12,500.00 for the Foundation.

Innovation Centre Events

I am responsibe for  the networking events through our Centre. Each month, we plan a lunch hour session that allows our members, partners and community stakeholders to network with each other.  I have been coordinating these events for eleven years and have had the opportunity to meet a number of interesting people in Thunder Bay and Region.

Stella & Dot

As a Star Stylist for Stella & Dot, I manage a team of six women who inspire me to represent the product line with zest and creativity. I am at my creative best when I can sell Stella & Dot in order to raise funds. This past October for Breast Cancer Awareness, I was successful in raising $750.00 through a Pink Party I hosted at a local boutique.  Eight years ago, I awarded the owners of this boutique a loan through the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.  We have supported each other's initiatives since developing our relationship years ago.
